Lamentations

Like swords upon a pirate sea

it tears apart you soul

when suddenly you realize

you are quite

alone.

.

Do they remember you?

you wonder

Care they even at all?

But there’s no real way of knowing

and worrying is

wrong.

.

Together you may have it

but together you feel naught

so insignificant

and desolate

your soul is stormy sea

lost.

.

So like swords upon a pirate sea

it tears apart your soul

when suddenly you realize

you are quite

alone.

.

Do they remember you?

you wonder

Care they even at all?

and so it will continue

until the very day you

fall.

.

Unless Someone may

relieve this curse

of circling again

we will be quite

doomed to lonely

and no one else

will

         it

                   end.

Welcome to The Rose! This is my literary corner of the internet, dedicated to all things creative writing. Here is where I keep a collection of my work. This includes everything from poems to short stories to writing tips, aka my collection of AD-Libs. I hope you enjoy what I have written here and are able to relate to my work. But ultimately, I hope this site inspires you to love writing as much as I do!

Most recently published:  “Red is the color” (Erythropsia), a prose poem in response to Esther Chilton’s prompt, “Red”, and “Haiku on dirt”, a collection of five haiku on the topic of dirt

AD-Lib is here! You can view previous AD-Libs under the “AD-Libs” tab to get some great tips on your writing and find out what is going through my head as I write. You can also view old Ad-Libs by year under the “Archived Entries” tab.
