This Month: Wrapping it Up
Dear Reader,
Well, I have given up on what to write for December. It’s held lots of wrapping things up. I’ve wrapped up my semester at school, Christmas presents for my family, and now I’m about to wrap up a New Year. And, come to think of it, I think 2011 will hold something similar. Happy December! 2 minutes to go until 2011!
Love you all,
Jessica

Recent Happenings:
- Inspired by the scene in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility where the Dashwood family comes home from church to find Marriane crying and Willoughby astonishingly rushing out the door, I have written a new semi-perfect sonnet this November entitled “Upset”. In the movie, the image of Elinor sitting in the stairwell with her mother’s cup of tea while everyone else is in their rooms sobbing, coupled with Marianne’s words, “Don’t ask me questions!”, provoked me to write this poem.
- I’m working on a new poem. I’m not sure what it will be called, but I think it will have something to do with human macro-evolution. I haven’t exactly worked out all of the details yet. A freewrite is sitting on my desk simply waiting for me to attack it and transform it into a rough draft. I’m guessing it should be done MAYBE by the end of December, but we shall see what comes of it, eh? 🙂
- Should I try to apply for upcoming poetry contests? Yes or No? Hmm….?
- Editing, editing, and more editing.
- Waiting 🙂
