If you think I’m beautiful,
may I ask you why
you say you’re not interested in me
and tell me I should date another guy.
…
You cut off our relationship over this,
said we had nothing to gain.
You’re not ready to get married,
you said, so why have your feelings just changed?
…
Let me tell you, I took you seriously.
I started seeing other guys.
I set up dating profiles.
I averted my eyes.
…
But, these blue orbs you think are gorgeous
were kind of surprised, when
you said my smile was friendly,
like you were coming back for another try.
…
Do you want me or not?
Let me just post that question to you.
It’s not me who is the problem.
I said I could fall in love with you.
…
You’re the one who walked away
and threw everything out.
Now, each picture I can’t look at
just reminds me of your doubt.
…
Make up your mind.
If you want me, I’m here.
I will take you back,
but only if you’re sincere.
…
I mean, how much am I worth to you?
Was I so easy to discard?
For someone you couldn’t live without,
it sure seemed like it wasn’t even hard.
…
I can’t keep living in confusion,
so I will simply walk away. But,
if you think I’m beautiful,
come and truly pursue me today.
…
And, like that dying man in the desert,
maybe you will find
you were actually thirsty for me
the whole, entire time.
