Here I am, whispering in your slumber.
I have precious words to deliver.
Our feelings make noise. We are deaf.
I need to talk to you; I
don’t want to lose you. I’m
not a monster, or
maybe we are
both scared. I’m
stuck. My
words
trigger
all of your
defenses but it
is never the moment
nor the place to talk about
us. We share love and respect but
we don’t know how to communicate.
Because, when we speak, we fight. Here I am.

Author’s Note: This poem is my take on “I want to talk to you” by Cyril Rolando. I was inspired by the fact that the poem looked like an etheree and that it could possibly be written backwards. So, I tried it. And, through trial and error, this is the result. Obviously, I really like this poem. I hope you guys like it, too. 🙂
