I entered an Edinburgh shop today,
called “The Elephant”, with my boyfriend, to
acquire some lunch and to evade the rain.
As we were eating, I noticed that, not
so long ago, J.K. Rowling had done
the same. The sign said she invented Harry
at this precise spot, which made me excited;
perhaps, heretofore, she came here to eat,
digest, rest, and deem. My boyfriend fell in
love with me in that shelterless cafe,
during rain, over lunch, because when we
left “The Elephant”, I held what I wrote.
…
Thus, I mused again about how fame was
only quixotic, superfluous chance.
